NESA conferences are a great way to keep current in the field. This conference allowed me to focus my professional practice in the area of assessment, and writing. One of the impacts the conference made on me, was in my decision to use assessment more frequently as a formative tool, to focus my instruction on areas of weakness. Also, I began the practice of having students who struggled with math assessments take a "test" again after doing further practice, as a way to make sure student learning was at the heart of my assessments.
2) In January 2009, I enrolled in the Masters of Science through SUNY, through which I continue to reflect on, and develop my professional skills.
